KVUE featured the opening of the Harvest Trauma Recovery Center in Austin, Texas’ first Trauma Recovery Center, operated under the African American Youth Harvest Foundation to provide trauma-informed support, advocacy, care coordination, and healing services for survivors of violence and their families.

KVUE recently featured the opening of the Harvest Trauma Recovery Center in Austin, a major milestone for trauma-informed care and survivor support in Texas.

The story highlights the launch of Texas’ first Trauma Recovery Center, designed to provide services for individuals and families impacted by violence, trauma, and crisis. The Harvest Trauma Recovery Center offers support such as therapy, trauma-informed care, care coordination, advocacy, and psychiatry for survivors seeking a path toward healing and stability.

Operated under the African American Youth Harvest Foundation, the Harvest Trauma Recovery Center reflects AAYHF’s ongoing mission to strengthen youth, families, and communities through culturally competent, family-centered health and human services. This work expands AAYHF’s commitment to helping Greater Austin residents access the resources, care, and support they need to thrive.

We are grateful to KVUE for spotlighting this important community resource and helping raise awareness about healing-centered services for survivors and families across Central Texas.
