The African American Youth Harvest Foundation is excited to invite families, neighbors, partners, and supporters to join us for a Community Engagement Resource Fair on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Harvest Manor Community Wellness & Resource Center in Manor, Texas.
This special event reflects AAYHF’s commitment to bringing programs, resources, and support closer to the families and communities we serve. The atmosphere is designed to be welcoming, interactive, and informative, with opportunities to connect with staff, learn about youth programs, and meet community partners offering helpful services and information.
Whether you are a parent looking for support, a young person curious about programs, a community partner, or a neighbor wanting to learn more about the work happening in Manor, there is something for everyone.
Available giveaways may include
- Household supplies
- Hygiene products
- Clothing and shoes
- Access to a food pantry

Spring Break Camp: Another Successful Year in the Books
As Spring Break Camp came to a close, AAYHF celebrated another successful year of engaging, impactful programming for youth. Campers experienced a dynamic blend of learning, creativity, movement, and connection that created meaningful moments beyond the break itself.
Activities included STEM challenges, coding, chess instruction, creative expression, physical wellness, and team-based games. Together, these experiences supported academic growth, confidence, collaboration, and social-emotional development.

AAYHF was selected as one of only 15 nonprofit organizations nationwide to participate in the 2026 Youth Skills and Employment Accelerator, led by the Global Business Coalition for Education in partnership with Dell Technologies and Stellantis.
This recognition affirms AAYHF’s work in preparing youth for a changing future through STEM education, social-emotional learning, mentoring, and wraparound support.
AAYHF Awarded Kars4Kids Small Grant
AAYHF was selected as a Kars4Kids Small Grant recipient, recognizing the organization’s ongoing commitment to youth and family support through holistic, community-based programming.
The feature highlights AAYHF’s work in mentoring, STEM education, workforce development, and family support across the Greater Austin area.

AAYHF met with Austin Serenity to explore collaborative opportunities focused on healing-centered services for youth and families.
The discussion centered on how the Equine Healing Program can support emotional wellness, confidence, trust, leadership, and growth, especially for youth navigating trauma or life challenges.
Staff Tour the Satellite Harvest Manor Office
Staff toured the newly renovated Harvest Manor Community Wellness & Resource Center and saw firsthand how the updated classrooms, shared spaces, and program areas are being transformed into a vibrant hub for community support.
The walkthrough reinforced the organization’s mission and helped staff envision how future mentoring, wellness, and youth programming will come to life in the space.
From Vision to Transformation: A Look Inside the Satellite Harvest Manor Renovation
What was once an empty building is now becoming a welcoming, purpose-driven community space. Through months of dedicated work by staff, volunteers, contractors, and partners, Harvest Manor Satellite Office is being prepared as a home for youth, families, healing, and opportunity.
Each repaired room, fresh hallway, and updated gathering area represents a practical investment in the people AAYHF serves.
Stronger Together: Celebrating Our Thrivent Partnership along with HBCU’s
AAYHF is proud of its longstanding partnership with Thrivent, a relationship rooted in shared commitment to service and community impact.
During a recent collaboration with over 200 youth representing 25 HBCU’s, volunteers assembled 8,750 snack packages and 1,000 affirmation cards for Urban University Summer Camp.
Inspired by the work of the Harvest Foundation, Thrivent increased its initial $5,000 donation to $10,000, strengthening support for youth and families across Central Texas.
Mentor and Mingle: A Night of Connection and Community
AAYHF recently hosted another successful Mentor & Mingle, bringing together community members, mentors, and supporters for an evening rooted in connection and conversation.
Over a BBQ meal prepared by Mentor DeAndre, attendees shared ideas, experiences, and a common commitment to supporting youth and strengthening the community.

Boys 2 Men – Mentorship & Leadership Development
This week’s session focused on how to properly greet others with respect and confidence. Participants practiced eye contact, polite language, and proper handshakes while learning why first impressions matter.

Participants rotated through interactive stations focused on behavior choices, reputation, character traits, and respectful responses. The session encouraged thoughtful discussion and stronger personal awareness.

Students continued a team puzzle challenge that strengthened collaboration, communication, and focus, then transitioned into the next phase of their curriculum: script writing.

Students participated in physical activities designed to help them relax and reset before Spring Break, supporting mood, stress relief, and overall mental wellness.

This week’s lesson focused on the theme of Showing Up. Through games, teamwork activities, and discussion around The Princess and the Frog, participants reflected on consistency, effort, and commitment to goals.

Students watched the first half of Big Hero 6 as an introduction to robotics and innovation, then began assembling smart robot car kits to learn engineering concepts, technical instructions, and problem-solving.
