The first Trauma Recovery Center in the State of Texas providing comprehensive behavioral health services for survivors of violent crime.
The Harvest Trauma Recovery Center (HTRC) is the first Trauma Recovery Center in the State of Texas, providing comprehensive behavioral health services to survivors of recent violent crimes. HTRC was established to meet the urgent and often unmet needs of youth and adults experiencing post-traumatic stress who are not currently receiving mental health care. Our model ensures that survivors are not left navigating trauma alone but are supported through coordinated, compassionate intervention.
HTRC provides trauma-informed therapy, crisis response, and long-term stabilization services designed to restore safety and dignity. Clients receive individualized care plans that address both emotional healing and practical barriers such as housing instability, transportation challenges, food insecurity, and childcare needs. By integrating clinical care with wraparound support, we ensure that healing is not fragmented but holistic.
Our team creates a safe yet brave space where survivors and their families can process traumatic experiences without fear or stigma. We prioritize continuity of care, ensuring that services extend beyond the immediate crisis phase. This long-term commitment allows clients to rebuild stability, regain confidence, and move forward with strength and resilience.
Through strong partnerships with the City of Austin, Travis County, and Central Health, HTRC continues to expand access to trauma recovery services across Central Texas. By embedding trust, accountability, and cultural responsiveness into every interaction, HTRC stands as a transformative model for integrated trauma recovery and community healing.
